The Gregori Mural with a protrait of Fr. Sorin
Founder's Week
continued with the "Rededication" of the 2006 Dedication of
the Gregorian Room, a study lounge with a once lost, but now found and
restored, mural by Luigi Gregori- the artist who painted the University's Basilica
and Main Building. The room, now dedicated to his memory, was feted with
a reflection of the original Dedication, a reading of a specially commissioned
haiku, clarinet and piano solos and a ribbon cutting ceremony. This year's
Rededication inaugurated the new "Rectors' Wall," a wall containing
hand drawn pictures of all rectors of St. Edward's Hall. Immediately following was a fête à la glace, or in other words, ice cream social.
