Johnson: This man and his mullet have not yet begun to fight

The "shock and awe" campaign waged by Stedsmen has shocked and awed not only the enemy but also our brave boys and their mullets. But Mullets Commander Ryan Johnson is not shocked nor in awe in the least. While the donation goal may have been reached- and in record time too- he's not stopping. Instead, while the enemy is on the run, Johnson is ordering all forces forward, pressing the attack against the enemy. Without question, it's a bold move, worthy of the history books, but after reflection, it's the right call as more lives will be saved. So, for the time being, our boys will remain at the front with their mullets, doing their worse against malaria. On his decision to press on and continue the fight, Johnson stated, "What's a little inconvenience when it saves a life?" Well said Commander...well said indeed!

To war!

Malaria: We're coming for you!

The fight is on! With spirits running high after receiving their mullets, the Gentlemen bravely marched off to the front to do their worse against the enemy- malaria. Words cannot capture the bravery and courage that these young men exuded with their freshly cut mullets. Their resolve and determination would edify the dispassionate and cavalier, making them wish that they too had follicles for this fight. And one of the these passionate, and now debonair looking, Stedsmen, fighting heroically in this was, is freshman Riley Moreman, resident Kentuckian and first time mullet wearer. On receiving a mullet and joining the fight, Moreman said,  “I am not afraid. It’s all very exciting, it’s good to see a goofy tradition be used to make a tangible difference in the world.”

St. Ed...

Johnson calls out McKenna

... needs you! On the eve of battle, Ryan Johnson, Steds Mullet Commander, is hitting the hallways of St. Ed's. As he goes down the hallowed hallways, with rousing words and spirit, Johnson is calling his fellow Stedsmen to war against malaria. Without doubt, he is imparting courage to the weak of heart, calming the nervous and anxious as well as moving those who are on the sidelines of this fight to get involved. And that is something Steds junior, Greg McKenna, knows first hand. While McKenna may have been on a three month vacation, studying abroad in Spain last semester, it doesn't mean he is any way exempted from service in this war. Simply put, sangria and sun do not equal an exemption, and this was made clear by Johnson as McKenna returned to the Hall this evening. On the personal reminder, McKenna said, "Ryan reminded me that even if I’m not blessed with his luscious hair, it is still my duty to get a mullet FOR THE KIDS. If people don’t like how I look, well, they should donate to get it shaven off my head."

It's on!

Join the fight!

Now is the time for everyone to take a stand with King and Hall against malaria! After being promoted to Mullet Commander and consulting with advisors, Ryan Johnson, gave the order, calling up all Steds Mullet forces to mobilize. On this Wednesday, Stedsmen, with follicles to give, will report to University Hairstylists at LaFortune to receive mullets and/or racing stripes and then immediate deployment to the front. As our brave boys are headed off to the fight, let us do our part in this fight. On rising to the cause, Fr. Ralph said, "While I don't have head of hair to give for this noble cause, I will do my part in this fight by clicking on the above QR code!"

Your Sunday picture...

... from Notre Dame. Here are a series of campus pictures capturing the recent snowfall. Snowing over a foot in some places, the snow really piled up, even taking down a few tree limbs. It's pretty to look at, but you know, snow doesn't shovel itself. Everyone here on campus is very thankful for all of those who have shoveled the miles of sidewalks and the many parking lots of Notre Dame, making them clear so that the commute to class is possible. Enjoy these pictures, and enjoy your Sunday wherever you may be!
