Everyone has..

Eggleton: Icing it up

… a down moment. Yes, everyone- and everything- at Steds has a down moment at one point or another. That was certainly the case for the Hall’s ice machine that went off line last week. To the horror and inconvenience of many, from the fourth floor to the kitchen ofEd’s, the absence of ice rocked the hall. Who knew that frozen dihydrogen oxide was important? It’s moments like these that remind us that we took the ice machine and its work for granted. Still yet, it’s like these moments that remind us that despite all of our technological advances, we are vulnerable by the weakest links in life, and in this case, the ice machine. But, thanks to mechanical knowhow of the Notre Dame Maintenance department, our weakest link was repaired, and now, up and running, it’s producing ice like it has never produced before. On the ice crisis now being over, Nikolai Eggleton, freshman and resident Floridian, shared, "We never been cooler. now that the ice machine is working."
