Australia: A break from class, or is this class?

Thanks to his dad, Dave, we have an update on an Stedsman, Mark Miclean (second from the left), who has gone down under for the Spring semester. Surprisingly, during his matriculation in the sunny Western Australia city of Perth, Miclean, and fellow Stedsman, Colin Rahill, seem to have been able to take a break from their rigorous studies and head to the beach. On his son’s time at the beach, Dave said, “Apparently learning to surf is part of the curriculum.”
