... "Run for the Roses" Derby! Slated to travel to the Kentucky Derby, Steds seniors, Marshall Smith and Daniel Jung had a better idea. Even though all the arrangements had been made and their Derby ensembles carefully selected, they decided to stay home and watch the Derby on TV. That's right. Instead of going these two Stedsmen opted to watch the one hundred and fifty-first Run for the Roses not from the inner field of Churchill Downs but rather from their apartment! On the decision, Smith, resident Californian and bow tie wearer, said, "We got to watch the Derby from the best seat in the house– our couch! Unlike at the race track, there was no rain to dilute our homemade mint juleps."
