At the races: Jake, Larry, Anntheresa and Derek
... in Kentucky. With the Steds Derby, soccer game pitting Steds A against Steds B "Big Cats," being postponed until the fall, there still was a derby for some Stedsmen. Jake and Derek Buckendorf, Steds senior and sophomore, resident Coloradans, joined their parents, Larry and Anntheresa, at Churchill Downs for the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby Derby. But the day before the run for the roses, they were present for the Kentucky Oaks race, where a pink out celebrating cancer survivors, was held. On advice for the jockeys, Larry shared, “Break hard, turn left, run fast!”
P.S. By the way, Anntheresa and Larry DID pick the winner of the Kentucky Derby.
P.P.S. Happy birthday Anntheresa!
