A new in-hall lecture
series started this week entitled "A Gentleman Ponders." Professor
Eric Sims of the Economics Department kicked off the series using his life
experiences to elucidate what it means to be a gentleman today,
namely doing the ordinary things extraordinarily well. Andrew Borchert,
Academic Commissioner and co-creator of the lecture series with Alex Caton,
said, "It was a rousing success." I say, "Huzzah for the Famous
Dave's," which was served at the conclusion of the talk.
