It's official...

Mr. and Mrs. McKeon

... they're married! With Fr. Ralph witnessing and the Steds family present, Molly Walsh of Lewis and Peter McKeon of Dillon, Steds (AR), and NDLS, were married at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. It was a beautiful day, made only more beautiful by this bride and groom. On Molly joining the Steds Family, Nate McKeon also of Dillon, Steds (AR,) and NDLS, Stedsman, disclosed, "Pete carried on the tradition of McKeon men marrying far above their station, and the Steds family is richer for it. Pete and Molly became Mr. and Mrs. McKeon in a celebration for the ages - there wasn’t a dry eye, a still foot, or an empty glass in the house."

Best wishes and congratulations to Molly and Pete!

It's official...

Mr. and Mrs. Benedict and Caitlyn Cook

... they're married! With Fr. Ralph witnessing and the Steds family present, Caitlyn Merrill ’21 of Catholic University and Benedict Cook ’21 of Steds were married at the Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola in Rome, Italy. Since the couple met in Rome, they wanted to make their vows there, the city where all roads lead, even hearts too! It was a beautiful day, and not only were the couple excited but also any and all persons in the Eternal City who saw this bride and groom. Indeed, the crowds cheered and applauded the couple before and after the wedding so much so that the couple actually caused a traffic jam. Everything was thoughtfully planned out, and the day was a true reflection of them and how they see their life now as one. On Caitlyn going the Steds Family, Chris Foley ’20, Stedsman and groomsman, declared, “Cait has felt like family for years, but now she’s officially in the STEDS family. She’s for the kids!”

Best wishes and congratulations to Cait and Ben!

Mr. & Mrs. Grant and Sydni Koch...

... they're married! With Fr. Ralph witnessing and the Steds family present, Dr. Sydni Meunier ’17 of Welsh Family and Grant Koch ’17 of Steds were married at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. It was a beautiful day, made only more beautiful by this bride and groom. Both members of the Notre Dame Field and Track Team, we all finally learned that these two were not running away from life but rather to each other. It took some time for them to get there, but what an amazing finish! On Sydni joining the Steds Family, Daara Jalili ’17, Stedsman and groomsman, shared, “Grant and Sydni make a beautiful couple! We are so blessed to have Sydni join our Steds family. Here’s to Sydni Koch, the newest addition to our Family!”

Your Sunday picture...

... from Notre Dame. With the students gone for the summer, a silence has descending upon campus. But one thing that hasn't changed has been the beautiful sunsets. Here is a sunset as seen from the middle of South Quad. Enjoy, and enjoy your Sunday wherever you may be!

Goodbye and...

Thank you and Welcome

... hello. Yes, as we say goodbye to our old ice machine, we say hello to our NEW ice machine. Serving the Steds Family for over eighteen years and have been given a second lease on life twice thanks to ND Maintenance, time finally caught up with our trusted and valued member of Steds. Indeed, it is a bittersweet moment for the Gentlemen, having to part with an old friend, but as Yodi said, "There is another!" Indeed, there is, and soon, it too will become like family to Notre Dame's oldest and most storied residence hall. On the new ice machine, Nikolai Eggleton '25 shared, "I really wish this happened after graduation as it was painful for another of reasons. One, we lost a friend, and two, I had to use a dining hall meal swipe just to get ice!"

Best of...

... the Gentlemen's Monthly. Well, TWELVE years ago this was the posting. Enjoy this blast from the very distant past.

Off to the races!

Stedsmen at Belmont Park with the Lady Lobaccaro

Recently graduated Stedsmen traveled from the "unfashionable West Egg" to Elmont, New York, for the 147th Belmont Stakes. With hopes high for a Triple Crown winner, everyone was in good spirits up until the race finished and California Chrome loss. On the 4th place finish of California Chrome, Dan Rish said, "Now how am I going to pay my student loans?"

Western Steds.

Like San Francisco, the O.C. is long goodbye

Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and the time for Western Steds to move operations back out east has come. What a time it has been! From assisting at Our Lady Queen of Angels to visiting the Steds Family, from meeting with prospective students to Notre Dame Alumni, it has been a memorable time to say the least. When leaving the O.C. not only will there be a great base tan but also great memories. Do not worry as you'll hear all about it soon enough. In the meantime, enjoy these pics from the O.C. On his Western Steds tour, Fr. Ralph shared, "I wish we could be Californians."
