Saturday Squirrel.
... interrupted. We're taking a break from our furry friends this Saturday to bring you something different. Yes, instead of squirrels, we're going to showcase you something Nebraskan. What can it be? This unique, green insect. A grasshopper? Well, kinda of... a katydid, or brush cricket. Living in the long grasses of the Great Plains, katydids are all about. The sprightly katydid looks like a green leaf and has a chirp like no other. You see, katydids get their name from the sound they make. Their repetitive clicks and calls sounded like someone saying, "Ka-ty-did." On seeing this katydid, Fr. Ralph said, "I know Nebraska isn't for everyone, and maybe it's not for this katydid too as it is in Indiana."

Thanksgiving Day, Part Two.
Thursday, November 23, 2023
Happy Thanksgiving.
The Gentlemen, as I am too, are thankful for all the laughs, Yacht Dances, and memorable times associated with this special place, the oldest and most storied residence hall at ND Day, St. Edward's Hall. Thank you to all who help make the traditions, camaraderie and friendship carry on, lasting for a life time. God's blessing upon you all!

Serving...
... with a smile. Ed's, everyone's favorite hall eatery, serves up everyone's late night favorites. Maybe it's a late dinner, perhaps it's a fourth meal, or just a snack, whatever it is, Ed's has what the Stedsmen want. Ed's and its staff not only serve it all up five nights a week but also with a smile too. Guaranteed! That's what Steds freshman and Californian and Texan, John Cook, does when working his shift at Ed's. Is because his older brother, James, once worked and managed Ed’s with smiles all around, or is it just John’s nature to smile. On working at Ed's and his smiles, Cook said, “Every time I see my name on the schedule, I can’t help but smile a little bit. Working in Ed’s is more of a chance to spend time with good company than it is a job. Whether it’s the Ed’s regulars or someone I haven’t met yet, it’s always great to get to know the people I am living with.”

Your Sunday picture...
... from Notre Dame. Here is a fall scene with Mary and the newly regilded Dome. Taken earlier in the season, this picture captures the beauty of the season as well as of that campus. Currently, campus foliage is past peak, but there are still some beauties to behold. Stay tuned to see! Enjoy, and enjoy your Sunday wherever you may be!

What...
... is the word in the hallway? Yes, what is the word about this weekend's game against Wake Forest? Yes, what exactly is being said in these hallowed hallways? Lucky for us, the Hall President, Dane Storch, and the Vice President, Louis Rauch, were in the hallway and were more happy to share what they thought about the final home game of the season.
On the game, President Storch declared, "It’s just a few days before break so the energy will be palpable and the vibes electric… campus will come together to secure a final home-turf victory to send us off" while his Vice President added, "Our team is going to send us into the break with a bang, and Sam Hartmann will lead us into victory against his alma mater, Wake Forest.”
